Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I do have my own blog on my faith which is indendepent from this blog on my eating disorder and autism. I know many of us have our own faiths or may have none and everything I write on this blog is not dependant on any faith. My faith though is important in my life and is a part of it and for my autism to it is important as well as I enjoy using it as well to write about, so I created a seperate blog for that. I thought I would share that link with you.
I am a Christian and I do have some recovery links on my blog for my faith on eating disorders and recovery stories on those who have recovered using the Christian faith. I did read an article that religion can be a positive benefactor when it comes to recovery but it also can be used negatively to and you need to guard against its negative use. This was uncovered in an article called Religious Coping Style as a Predictor of the Severity of Anorectic Symptomology.
At roots my family are rich in heritage with some members on my parents side of the family being Muslim from heritage to and we live together well as you should and too with people of all faiths I have experienced it has no bearing on us and our relaionships.
For me as I wrote in my 2021 awarness article-my faith has been life sustaining for me and a great support and gave the topic of faith a section of its own in my 2021 article which was general in coverage for all faiths.
