Day trip plans from London to Zurich, Switzerland.

So many of my trips were affected by the pandemic. But, it was nice to get away for the day to a place to where calories of menu boards inside establishments do not exist also.
More significantly, it was 21 years on from the last time that I flew alone. Previous to that in 2019 when I took a day trip to Paris on the Eurostar it was 19 years since I travelled alone abroad. Who knows what the future holds. But, I share my plans with you to show what can be possible in a day.
My mum treated me to the ticket for my birthday. I got it at a good price. I paid £76 for the return ticket. Dad paid for the taxi to Blackfriars to catch the Thames link straight through to Gatwick Airport.
It took a lot of planning which was quite overwhelming at times, but needed to be done.  I threw some stones in at the Rheinfalls. I like being around blue spaces and waterfalls. I personally prefer smaller waterfalls that I can sit next to, but on a sensory level this helped to marginally reset me and slow my mind down and  I probably felt it here when I felt compelled to throw a few stones into the river. For me to it was beneficial to have something in the calendar to look forward to. It was also quite character forming to  do it. Something to dig into when things are possibly more difficult at times.

The flight took 1hrs 20mins and I cleared airport security on  both sides in around 30 mins maximum. I did have special assistance though which made the trip possible. But, those who were on my flight ✈  I saw them exit quite quickly also, not too far behind me.  I discovered also that the European health card is still operative.

Much love
